HEIC and HEIF are common photo formats on modern phones but are not accepted by every website or desktop workflow. This converter creates a more widely supported JPG or PNG copy in the browser.
The converted image is previewed before download, so you can check the result rather than assuming that a conversion completed successfully simply because the file was created.
Check metadata and quality
Re-encoding can remove or change common EXIF, GPS and other image properties. Keep the original HEIC or HEIF file when metadata is important, and review the converted output before using it as the archival copy.
A converted JPG or PNG should also be checked for orientation, visual quality and file size before uploading it to an application, website or messaging service.
Local processing
The intended conversion path runs locally in the browser. The working HEIC/HEIF image does not need to be uploaded to a My Karya Kit processing server, which is useful for private phone photos and documents.
