Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy explains how My Karya Kit handles information when you use its browser utilities and its explicitly server-backed features. The application is designed to minimize collection of personal data.

2. Local browser processing

Supported file and data tools are designed to process working content in your browser. For those local workflows, selected files and text are not sent to a My Karya Kit processing server for conversion or calculation. You remain responsible for the content you choose to enter or share.

3. Information used by server-backed features

Feedback submissions may contain the name you choose to provide, your feedback message, a rating, visibility choices and server-generated timestamps. A restricted administrator feature may use an HTTP-only session cookie for administrator access.

The current Pro waitlist endpoint can accept an email address and stores that email plus server-generated timestamps and consent timing. The current public application UI does not expose the Pro waitlist action.

4. Analytics and product measurement

My Karya Kit uses privacy-preserving first-party product measurement to understand which tools are opened, processed and downloaded and to improve the service. Anonymous usage measurement is enabled by default. The application does not create an analytics user ID and does not store IP addresses, cookies used as visitor identifiers, user-agent strings, referrers, filenames or file contents in the analytics database.

The browser sends only an event type, the Karya Kit tool name and a small allowlisted set of numeric measurements where relevant, such as byte counts, duration, page count and file count. The server validates the event and records daily aggregate counters rather than individual event rows.

A visitor can disable anonymous usage analytics at any time using the privacy preference control. The preference is stored in a functional first-party cookie so the site can remember the opt-out; that cookie is not used as an analytics identifier.

This privacy-preserving design is intended to avoid persistent visitor tracking. Whether additional consent or disclosure requirements apply can depend on the visitor's jurisdiction, the hosting/analytics providers in use and future changes to the service. The site will update its privacy disclosures and controls when those circumstances change.

Basic hosting and security infrastructure may separately process technical request data, including information needed for abuse prevention, delivery and security. That infrastructure processing is separate from the aggregate analytics dataset described above.

5. Cookies, hosting and service providers

The site uses a first-party preference cookie to remember privacy choices. Anonymous product analytics does not use an analytics identifier cookie. A restricted administrator feature may use a separate HTTP-only session cookie. The core browser-tool flow does not currently use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Infrastructure providers such as the hosting platform or Supabase may process technical information necessary to deliver and secure their services. Server-backed My Karya Kit features may therefore have operational logs outside the browser-side tool data path.

6. Advertising and Google AdSense

My Karya Kit has connected Google AdSense for website review and may display Google advertising on eligible pages after AdSense approval and activation. Google may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or similar technologies to serve, measure or personalize advertising, subject to Google's policies and the settings that apply to the visitor.

The AdSense publisher script is loaded on the site so Google can verify the publisher connection. The site does not treat that script as a tool-processing service: selected files and working text for supported local tools are still processed in the browser rather than uploaded to a My Karya Kit conversion server.

Google requires publishers to clearly disclose their use of cookies and similar technologies for advertising. Visitors can review Google's information about advertising cookies and manage available personalization choices through Google's advertising settings. Depending on the visitor's jurisdiction, additional consent or privacy choices may apply.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the site uses Google AdSense Privacy & messaging as its advertising consent layer when the Google CMP is enabled and published for this site in the AdSense account. Google's consent system is integrated with the IAB Europe TCF, and the site does not use its first-party analytics preference control as a substitute for advertising consent.

The footer may show a “Privacy and cookie settings” control for users in regions where the TCF consent framework applies. That control uses Google's documented Privacy & Messaging revocation API to reopen the applicable Google consent message. Changing that choice affects Google advertising consent; it does not change the separate My Karya Kit analytics preference.

Where a visitor does not consent to personalized advertising, Google may use non-personalized or limited ad serving according to the publisher's account configuration and the signals available for that visitor.

7. Retention and deletion

We retain server-backed records only for as long as reasonably necessary for the feature, security, dispute handling or legal obligations. There is currently no automated public retention schedule displayed for feedback or waitlist records. You can request access, correction or deletion through the Data Requests page, subject to applicable law and reasonable verification.

8. Your rights and grievances

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights relating to access, correction, updating, deletion and grievance redressal for personal data. Requests can be made using the published contact address. We may need to verify a request before changing or deleting a record.
